The Platform Ladder Is The King Of Indoor Ladders

The Platform ladder is available in several different weights for different purposes, i.e. it has been modified to to specific needs to perform certain duties. Platform ladders are usually available under three broad categories depending upon the amount of weight that needs to be sustained. The choice of sustainability of different weight ranges makes the platform ladder a priceless possession.

The most popular material for platform ladders to be made of is aluminum, but like so many other ladders, it is always available in wood, steel, and fiberglass too. It is worth mentioning again that the aluminum platform ladder is the most popular of all different types.

A great feature of the platform ladder is its collapsibility, making it portable and much easier to carry or transport than any other ladder. The platform ladder also possesses a durable platform with a big non-slip façade. There are usually two safety locks attached to provide the user additional security against accident while the user is busy with the task at hand.

It should be remembered that platform ladders are primarily used for performing indoor jobs like hanging drapery liners, painting curtains, or wallpapering.

Basically, there are three types of platform ladder depending upon their size, weight, height and weight sustaining capacity.

The most common platform ladder is the heavy-duty platform ladder which has a platform which is about 19.25" above the ground level and the total surface area is about 40"L x 12"W. The platform is stabilized by one step on each side to let the user maneuver with ease. This platform ladder weighs about 16 pounds and is capable of supporting nearly 300 pounds.

The heavy-duty platform ladder generally comes with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty and costs about $92 each.

The medium-duty platform ladder's height is around 18.5" high with a total capacity of 225 pounds. When folded, the medium duty platform ladder would occupy a space of about 6.5".
